This Amtrak 194 locomotive is a little beaten up but still
photographs well. It's dusk and the train leaves for the Bay Area the next
day. |

|
One car typically on the Fun and Snow Trains is an old
Southern Pacific passenger car. It's painted in Daylight colors on one side,
and another color scheme on the other side. |

Here's my favorite shot of Truckee. In the video, you hear
the engineer say, "Highball Truckee" just as the train passes the
camera. |

This long shot shows most of the train. Just behind the
trees is Soda Springs and Donner Pass Road. These photos are taken from the
Royal Gorge cross country ski area. |

This photo shows the Rio Grande 'Royal Gorge' passenger car
passing the Royal Gorge ski area. |

Here's a closer shot of the Royal Gorge car. |

Here's a shot of the Amtrak Dome / Observation car #
10031 |

This 10031 car was on every Snow or Fun Train I saw this
season in Feb and March. At times there was also a Santa Fe Plaza car on the
train, but not on this trip. |
